Opposition Parties Reject Hike In Petroleum Prices

KARACHI: The Opposition parties have rejected in an increase in petroleum products by the government.

Responding on the hike Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan has robbed the poor by hiking the price to highest level in history.

Bilawal Bhutto said that with petrol and dollar at historic high, everyday use items will soon be out of reach of the masses.

PPP Chairman said that Imran Khan, who came into power with promises of cheap petrol, has not only increased the price to historic high but is trying to defend the massive hike.

Ameer Jamat Isalami (JI) Siraj Ul Haq has said that the government should keep the petroleum prices what it had promised to the people while Siraj Ul Haq demanded that the government should stop charging petroleum levy.

He also rejected the hike in the petroleum and medicine prices adding that the poor have not able to purchase ordinary medicines of ordinary fever adding that the price which is Rs 100 in India has been charged Rs 500 in Pakistan.

The JI Cheif said that petroleum and drug mafias are robbing off billions of rupees from the masses.

The price of petrol has been increased by Rs 5 per litre and new price will be Rs 123.30 while High Speed Diesel price increased by Rs 5.01 and the new price will be Rs 120.04.

The price of Kerosene Oil has been increased by Rs 5.42 per litre with new price Rs 92.26 whereas Light Diesel Oil price increased by Rs 5.92 per litre and its new price will be Rs 90.69.
