LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Siarj-ul-Haq has demanded the government to accept ToRs formed by the Opposition, saying that eight sessions were held over ToRs, but all failed due to government, while all opposition parties will give a joint strategy and national agenda after September 30.
Addressing the Majlis-e-Amila in Mansoura, Siraj-ul-Haq said, “if government will accept our ToRs, form commission and get ready for accountability then doors are open for negotiations, but government is not ready to put aside its stubbornness , if people take streets then that ‘achievement’ would be made by the government.
JI Ameer said that we had made it clear on the first day that democracy cannot flourish until elimination of corruption and transparent accountability, while peaceful protest is the beauty of democracy, which always benefited the democracy.
