Islamabad: Opposition’s the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegation called on Chief Justice Yahya Afridi on his residence.
The PTI five-member delegation meet up with the CJ continued for an hour. The PTI members included the Opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub, Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, Ali Zafar and Baber Awan.
The PTI members apprised the CJ about legal matters while they also discussed founding chairman of the party Imran Khan letters and economic situation of the country.
The formal declaration of the meeting will be issued in a while.
Before meeting with the opposition, the CJ also met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The CJ has called suggestions for judicial reforms.
Justice Yahya Afridi is active for establishment of a National Judicial Policy Committee while he has called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif earlier.
In his meeting with the Supreme Court Bar delegation, the CJP said that he will meet to all stakeholders for formation of the National Judicial Policy making committee to improve despensation of justice.
