KARACHI: Saying that whatever appeals that had to me made to the Sindh and the federal governments have already been made Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar has said that he and his team have now ventured out to work launching the 100-day cleanliness drive of the city within the available resources.
The mayor kicked off the drive from from Shah Faisal Colony area of the city and personally supervising and monitoring the works personally.
Talking to media at the occasion Waseem said that despite limited powers his and his team’s passion is unlimited. Our resources are limited but we would perform under all restraints and there will be works in every districts of Karachi, he added.
We will be seen on the roads of Karchi on every day of these 100 days, if the local government’s representatives were not to be used when the elections were held, Mayor Karachi asked.
During Waseem’s talk to media the workers of MQM London chanted loud slogans in favor od the founder of MQM and against Farooq Sattar over which Waseem said that in the days to come people will know who are Karachi’s traitors.
