LAHORE: Orange Line Train project has become white elephant for Punjab government, while over 550 million rupees funds have been approved for the security of foreigners working on the project.
According to details, 555.7 million rupees will be spent on security of foreigners working on Orange Line project, while Punjab government will also make special protection unit for foreigners working on the project. Home Department, Transport Department and Special Protection Unit will jointly work on security project, while the project has been approved by Home Secretary and Transport Secretary.
Lahore High Court has released orders to stop the work on Orange Line, which was affecting historical buildings, due to which the project is also feared to face delay.
