Oxford University Decides To Award Honorary Degree To Rahat Fatah Ali

LONDON: UK’s world-renowned Oxford University has announced to award honorary degree to Rahat Fatah Ali Khan.

The University has decided to award him the degree over his services in the field of music.

The University said that the singer born in a family which now has become identification of the music field of Asia.

Rahat Fatah Ali Khan started taking classes in Music just in the age of Seven years and until now he has recorded his 50 albums.

Famous singer has conducted many concerts around the world besides that he has composed and sung more than fifty title songs of Dramas.

He has also sung playback singing in Hollywood, Bollywood and Pakistani movies.

The University over his countless services and art decided to award him an honorary degree.

The Pakistani star singer will be awarded in the august gathering going to be held in 28 June while seven others will also be awarded the honorary degree.

Cyrus Poonawalla from India, Jennifer Doudna, Andrea Ghez, Shafi Goldwasser, Daniel Kahneman and Simon Wessely, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
