The Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) has officially announced the construction of a new airport in Faisalabad.
As per reports released on Saturday, the PAA has invited proposals for the airport’s design, master plan, and feasibility study. Interested firms must submit their applications to the Planning Directorate by October 12.
This new infrastructure project is part of the authority’s broader initiative to enhance aviation facilities across the country.
Steps Taken to Upgrade Immigration System Across Pakistan
In a separate development, the federal government has begun implementing significant improvements to the country’s immigration process, following directives from the Prime Minister.
Earlier this month, new immigration counters were set up at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. The move aims to streamline entry procedures for international travelers and minimize unnecessary delays.
According to a spokesperson from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the new system will especially benefit foreign investors and business delegations by offering a more efficient clearance process. The reforms are also geared toward promoting tourism, trade, and investment, while ensuring a smoother return experience for Pakistani nationals.
