RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has congratulated the nation for the overall peaceful conduct of the elections in the country.
In a statement issued by the Inter Services Public relations Department, it has been said that the Pakistan Army is proud of its key role in providing security in the election process.
ISPR said that the Pakistan Army along with other law enforcement agencies carried out the responsibilities.
Inter Services Public Relation Department has said that Pak Army has fulfilled its responsibilities as per the constitution, after the polling in the general elections in the country, the counting of votes and the results are going on, the polling process for the general elections continued from 8 am to 5 pm and huge number of people exercised their right to vote.
According to ISPR 137,000 officials were deployed at around 16,000 sensitive polling stations while 7800 officials were deployed as quick response force.
