Rawalpindi: Five personnel of Pakistan army embraced martyrdom as a MI-17 helicopter under use by Pakistan army crashed on Monday morning near Chalas , Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
The army helicopter crashed at 10 am in Gilgit Baltistan which was on a routine training afterwards a technical fault developed owing to which the accident happened.
Helicopter staff comprising five members including pilot and co-pilot lost their lives in the tragic accident.
Martyred included Major Atif, co-pilot Major Faisal, nayib subaydar Maqbool, Hawaldar Jehangir, nayik Amir.
Training missions are part of routine activities of Army Aviation to maintain operational readiness for performing tasks varying from operational support to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
