Corps Commanders’ Conference at GHQ under the chairmanship of the Army Chief. The Army will provide necessary support to the Election Commission in the general elections. The forum was briefed on the situation in the region, the operational preparations of the formations. They were also briefed about their strategy in response to the challenges and growing threats to national security. The participants of the conference expressed their concern regarding safe havens of banned TTP and other terrorist groups in the neighboring country, operations with freedom from there and availability of modern weapons as a threat to the security of Pakistan.
The forum expressed its determination that the state will deal with full force against terrorists and their abettors.The Forum also reiterated its support for ongoing efforts to promote socio-economic development and encourage foreign investment under the Special Investment Facilitation Council. In addition to illegal economic activities, the ongoing operations against hoarding were also comprehensively reviewed. The participants agreed that the Pakistan
Army will provide the required and necessary support to the Election Commission of Pakistan in the upcoming general elections. The Forum also chanted Fatihya for the martyrs of the Dera Ismail Khan attack, including the martyrs of Pakistan, and paid tribute to them. The participants expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemned the grave human rights violations in Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire.
