Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Bangladesh sojourn of ICC champions trophy 2025 ended without any single win as the match between them abandoned owing to rain on Thursday here in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Even toss for the match could not be held at the stadium.
The rain, which persisted intermittently overnight, caused cancellation of the match as dark clouds lingered over the stadium.
Both teams are already out of the semi-final race, having lost their first two matches in the 50-over tournament. India and New Zealand have already advanced from Group A.
Both the teams will get a single point each.
Pakistan and Bangladesh clashed once in Rawalpindi cricket stadium back in 2003 which was won by the Pakistan.
The green shirts have history of winning all 12 matches played here in Rawalpindi.
India and New Zealand clinched victories against Pakistan and Bangladesh in the champions trophy.
Bangladesh have better batting and bowling strength. It is likely that Pakistan will bring two changes in the team while Bangladesh will not change its squad of the last match.
