Pak-IMF talks review economic targets of climate challenges in second session

Islamabad: Economic targets of climate challenges were reviewed between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for climate financing in the second session of the talks.

The IMF delegation called on secretary finance and other officials in the finance division.

They exchanged views on perspective of the tagging of green budgeting, tracking and monitoring .
Sources said that provincial officials will give separate briefing to the delegation over measures have taken so far.

Punjab and Balochistan will breif the IMF delegation today.

Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) had given the briefing on the climate measures yesterday.

The IMF technical delegation has instructed the provinces to work jointly with the federal government.

The IMF delegation will give its suggestion after conclusion of briefing by provinces and the center.
The delegation will prepare a report over Pakistani measures on climate.
