ISLAMABAD: Retired Rear Admiral Fawad Amin Baig of the Pakistan Navy announced that Pakistan possesses a treasure trove in its blue economy. He stated that the country’s seas are not only rich in minerals but also abundant in other maritime resources.
During talk to media, Rear Admiral (R) Fawad Amin Baig highlighted that the Pakistan Navy has played a key role in exploring these resources. With assistance from China, surveys conducted revealed the presence of vast gas reserves beneath the seabed.He emphasized the need to attract investors who can utilize capital and technology to harness this treasure trove effectively.
Rear Admiral (R) Fawad Amin Baig further stated that whenever Pakistan takes steps toward development, adversaries employ fifth-generation warfare tactics to scare away investors. However, with collaboration between the Strategic Infrastructure Force Committee (SIFC), military, and political leadership, a defensive strategy has been devised that aims to strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
