ISLAMABAD: Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India conducted their third direct hotline communication, focusing on the current situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
During the talks, both military officials reviewed the ground realities and reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ceasefire agreement.
Sources indicate that, Pakistan’s DGMO, Major General Kashif Abdullah, and India’s DGMO, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, mutually agreed to continue observing the ceasefire and uphold the ‘status quo’ established during the previous discussions.
The recent ceasefire has been maintained through diplomatic facilitation by the United States and other friendly nations.
While official statements have yet to be issued, insiders reveal that both sides emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region.
The agreement to maintain the ceasefire follows the previous hotline contact held earlier this week, underscoring ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote dialogue.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan will brief the media in this regard today.
