ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army team secured a gold medal in the Cambrian Patrol Exercise 2025, held in Wales, UK, from October 3 to 13. A total of 137 teams from 36 countries participated in the prestigious military competition. The Pakistani contingent, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, delivered an exemplary performance to clinch the top honor, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Participants faced the challenge of covering 60 kilometers within 48 hours while navigating harsh and demanding terrain. They were required to complete complex tactical and technical tasks under simulated combat scenarios.
Outperforming 137 teams, the Pakistan Army team displayed exceptional endurance, leadership, and teamwork, garnering high praise for their achievement. The ISPR commended this accomplishment, describing it as a source of national pride and a reflection of the Army’s world-class training, discipline, and unyielding resolve.
Often referred to as the “Olympics of military patrolling,” the Cambrian Patrol is an annual event organized by the British Army in Wales. It is designed to test participants’ endurance, tactical skills, teamwork, and ability to operate under stressful conditions, attracting elite military units from across the globe.
The Pakistan Army has consistently excelled in previous editions of the exercise, earning top honors on multiple occasions. This year’s victory further cements its reputation for professionalism and superior training standards.
