Isalamabad: The Pakistani armed forces carried out precision strikes in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province amidst ongoing border tensions between the two countries, as reported by state broadcaster PTV News on Wednesday.
According to a statement shared on X, citing security sources, the Pakistan Army launched retaliatory actions targeting key Afghan Taliban positions. The strikes reportedly destroyed critical hideouts of the Afghan Taliban.
The operation focused on strategic locations, resulting in the complete decimation of Afghan Taliban Battalion Number 4 and Border Brigade Number 6. The strikes also reportedly led to the elimination of several foreign and Afghan operatives.
The statement emphasized the Pakistan Army’s readiness and capability to deliver a decisive and robust response to any external aggression.
