Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army’s two helicopters have left for rains affected areas of Balochistan Lasbela and Othal area from Karachi, Inter-Service Public Relations informed today.
The helicopters were not sent to the affected areas owing to the bad weather conditions in the areas earlier, the ISPR added.
The Pakistan Army media wing apprised that these helicopters will transport people who are stuck in the rains affected areas to protected destinations.
The helicopters will also transport necessary aid goods in the areas.
As per the ISPR, the GOC himself supervised relief and rescue operation in Gawadar while doctors and paramedical staff are providing medical aid to the rains affected,
Meanwhile, army contingents relief and rescue operations also continued in rains affected areas of Dera Ghani Khan (DG Khan). While two medical camps have been established in the rains affected areas.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Army relief and rescue operations are continued in Jamshoro and Gharo as well including efforts for clearing of flood waters in Karachi,
