Pakistan calls for immediate and complete ceasefire in Gaza at UN

NEW YORK: During a United Nations meeting, Pakistan emphasized the need for a complete and immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging the international community to prioritize the establishment of sustainable peace in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Pakistan’s Alternate Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, stated during a briefing in the Security Council that Israel’s aggression in the West Bank must be stopped immediately. Humanitarian aid should not be used as a weapon.

Asim Iftikhar emphasized the need for a complete and immediate ceasefire in Gaza and stated that the root of unrest in the Middle East is Israel’s illegal occupation. He urged the international community to prioritize the establishment of sustainable peace in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Pakistan’s Alternate Permanent Representative, Asim Iftikhar, appealed for the Security Council to stand firm against the forced eviction of Palestinians.
