New York: Pakistan has called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Sudan, urging the parties to the conflict to find a sustainable political solution through dialogue.
Taking part in the Security Council briefing on “Protection of Civilians” in Sudan, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram stated that the war will only bring more death and destruction for the Sudanese people.
He demanded an immediate end to the bloodshed and brutalities against the civilians in Sudan as well as the violations of International Humanitarian Law.
He stressed that the Jeddah Declaration on protection of civilians must be implemented by both the sides.
