Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Team will depart for New Zealand for playing five-match T-20 series and three-match ODI series on Wednesday, today, while batting coach Muhammad Yousuf has confirmed to go on tour as his daughter health condition improved.
Earlier, Muhammad Yousuf has apprised his unavailability for the New Zealand visit to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) due to his daughter illness.
Three hours after the initial notification of his withdrawal, the PCB issued another statement announcing the batting great will be on the flight after his daughter’s health had improved.
“Doctors have informed me that the health of my daughter is now better so now I am going with the team to New Zealand,” Yousuf was quoted as saying.
Salman Ali Agha will lead Pakistan T-20 squad while Muhmmad Rizwan will captain of the Pakistan ODI squad.
Pakistan will kick start its New Zealand tour from March 16 to April 5 where it will play three ODIs and five T-20 matches.
Pakistan T-20 squad includes Abdul Samad, Hassan Nawaz, Jahandad Khan, Muhammad Abbass Afridi, Muhammad Harris, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Irafan Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, Sufyan Muqeem.
Besides that Harris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Khushdil Shah are in the short format team.
