Pakistan crumble for 154, WI snatch 9-run lead on dramatic 1st day

MULTAN: In the second and final Test, after West Indies, the Pakistan team also failed to stand against the bowlers in their first innings, getting bowled out for just 154 runs.

On the first day of the Multan Test, 20 wickets fell, with the national team making 154 runs. West Indies gained a 9-run lead in their first innings.
Pakistan’s first wicket fell at 22 runs when Mohammad Haris was dismissed for 9 runs by Kemar Roach, and Babar Azam was bowled out for just 1 run. Mohammad Rizwan was the top scorer for Pakistan in the first innings, making 49 runs.
Other contributions came from Saud Shakil (32), Kamran Ghulam (16), captain Shan Masood (15), and Salman Agha (9). For the visiting team, Jomel Warrican stood out as the main bowler, taking 4 wickets.

West Indies won the toss in Multan and decided to bat first. However, Pakistani bowlers performed brilliantly, not allowing the West Indies batsmen to settle and quickly taking two wickets.
Test debutant right-arm fast bowler Kashif Ali claimed a wicket in his very first over, dismissing McKail Louis for 4 runs.
Sajid Khan picked up the second wicket for West Indies at 9 runs, and he along with Nauman Ali claimed the next five wickets in just 12 overs.
Later, West Indies formed a good partnership and took the score to 95 runs. After that, Nauman Ali took another wicket in the 27.4th over, claiming his fifth wicket of the match.
Pakistan’s bowlers had to work hard to get the last wicket. The West Indies batsmen formed another partnership, raising the score to 163 runs before Nauman Ali claimed the final wicket.
West Indies batted for a total of 41.1 overs in their first innings. For Pakistan, Nauman Ali took 6 wickets, Sajid Khan took 2, while Kashif Ali and Abrar Ahmed each took 1 wicket.
