SHARJAH: In the opening match of the tri-nation T20 series, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs.
The event, held in Sharjah, saw Pakistan winning the toss and electing to bat first. They scored 182 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Captain Salman Ali Agha played an unbeaten innings of 53 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan and Muhammad Nawaz contributed 21 and 21 runs respectively, and Fakhar Zaman scored 20 runs.
Chasing a target of 183, Afghanistan’s opening batsmen confidently built their innings, reaching a score of 93 for 2 wickets. However, they then lost five wickets for just 4 runs.
