The first match of the three-match ODI series is being played in Paarl, South Africa, where the hosts won the toss and opted to bat first.
South Africa scored 239 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Heinrich Klaasen played a crucial innings of 86 runs, hitting 2 sixes and 7 fours.
