Pakistan expands its outreach to Chinese investors, heavy agri investments expected across 10 sectors

ISLAMABAD: Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan met Jiang Zaidong to advance government and business-level collaboration aimed at boosting bilateral trade, particularly in agriculture.

Discussions centered on identifying opportunities to expand agricultural trade between Pakistan and China, with both sides acknowledging agriculture as a vital driver of economic cooperation.

The minister stressed the need for a multi-sector strategy to enhance Pakistan’s exports to China, emphasizing coordinated efforts to maximize agricultural trade potential.

Ambassador Zaidong outlined China’s import regulations and their role in reinforcing long-term trade relations. Both parties agreed to maintain open communication to address challenges and sustain progress.

The upcoming Pakistan-China Agricultural Investment Conference was highlighted as a key event to connect policymakers, investors, and businesses, further solidifying trade ties.
