ISLAMABAD: The foreign office sources said on Wednesday that Pakistan expelled the Indian High Commissioner Ajay Basaria over India’s move to abolish article 370 that has suspended the special status of Kashmir.
Pakistan has informed the Indian government over the decision through a letter.
The deputy Indian high commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia will be the acting high commissioner in his absence.
Meanwhile, Pakistan stopped Pakistani High Commissioner Moeenul Haq to depart for India.
“We will call back our ambassador from Delhi and send back their envoy”, news agency quoting foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says.
