ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for international partnership to deal with the challenge of climate change.
Addressing a ceremony attended by the diplomatic corps at the foreign office in Islamabad today (Monday), he said the US President Joe Biden has given the issue the importance it deserves.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have also signed an MOU to help each other for the protection of environment.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is ranked amongst the countries most vulnerable to climate change.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan, leading from the front has taken the intiatives to provide a better and secured future to the coming generations.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the world is now recognizing the steps taken by Pakistan for the protection of environment.
The Foreign Minister said the government is committed to make Pakistan a greener and cleaner country.
