Islamabad: Pakistan stongly condemns Israel’s move to expand its so-called “sovereignty” over parts of the Occupied West Bank, including illegal Israeli settlements, through a draft law presented in the legislature of the occupying authority.
The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that such actions are a clear violation of international law, relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people. These provocations, the spokesperson added, threaten ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan once again urged the international community to act promptly and decisively to stop these illegal measures and hold the Israeli occupying forces accountable for their persistent breaches of international law.
The statement also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to collaborating with regional and global partners to safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination, while striving to ensure justice, dignity, and lasting peace for Palestinians.
The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine along pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
