ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday launched the guidelines for the implementation of the UNSC 1267 Sanctions.
The guidelines were finalized in a meeting session of the National Committee headed by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua with various federal and provincial representatives, officials of security forces and financial institutions in attendance.
Expressing her thoughts on the affair at the event, Tehmina Janjua said that disciplinary measures were taken against ISIS and Taliban as per UNSC’s 1267 Sanction and 1988 sanction, respectively.
Foreign Secretary, in her address, said that she hopes the guidelines would aid all involved parties in better discharging their responsibilities for the effective implementation of the UN sanctions.
Moreover, Tehmina Janjua reiterated her stress on Pakistan’s successful role of turning the tide in the fight against terrorism.
After the launch was done, Director General (CT) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a detailed briefing to the participants on the guidelines of an interactive session.
