CHRISTCHURCH: Mohammad Rizwan starred with a phenomenal knock of 78 off 50, helping the Green Shirts to post a fighting total of 167/5 against Bangladesh on Friday in the Tri-series opener.
The reliable duo, Babar Azam and Rizwan, provided a solid start to Pakistan after they were put to bat by Bangladesh. The pair built an opening partnership of 52 runs before the skipper fell prey to Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the 8th over after scoring 22 of 25 which included four boundaries.
Shan Masood then joined Rizwan on the crease and scored 31 off 22 to move the scoreboard to 94 runs before he tossed up and offered his wicket to Nasum Ahmed.
