Pakistan reports significant gains in operation Ghazab-lil-Haq: 663 Militants killed, says Tarar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, provided an update on the progress of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, detailing substantial achievements against militant groups and Taliban insurgents.

In a statement shared on social media, Tarar confirmed that the operation has resulted in the elimination of 663 militants, including members of Khawarij and Afghan Taliban, with over 887 militants injured in the ongoing campaign.

He also disclosed that Pakistani forces have destroyed 249 check posts and captured and dismantled an additional 44 positions. The military has also neutralized 224 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery pieces to date.

Tarar highlighted that Pakistan’s armed forces executed precise airstrikes targeting 70 terrorist sites within Afghanistan, with a focus on militants’ hideouts and logistical infrastructure. Notably, during the night between March 12 and 13, Pakistani air operations targeted terrorist facilities inside Afghan borders, aiming to weaken militant networks and prevent cross-border attacks.
