Pakistan, Saudi Arabia conclude successful ‘Al-Battar II’ military exercise

TABUK: The Pakistan Army and Saudi Arabian armed forces have wrapped up the joint military drill, Al-Battar II, 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement issued on Tuesday. held from November 18 to 26 in Tabuk, the counterterrorism-focused exercise saw the participation of Pakistan’s Special Services Group (SSG) alongside Saudi combat units. The closing ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding SSG, emphasizing the importance of the collaboration.

ISPR reported that both armies displayed exemplary professionalism and operational expertise throughout the drills. The exercise emphasized strengthening joint counterterrorism efforts, with specific focus areas including urban warfare tactics and the detection and neutralization of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The conclusion of Al-Battar II not only showcased the high standards of military readiness but also reinforced the deep-rooted military relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Beyond the tactical training, the exercise underscored the two nations’ shared dedication to regional stability, peace, and collective defense cooperation.
