ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has dispatched its 18th convoy of relief supplies, amounting to an additional 100 tons, for Gaza.
As per detail, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that, following the Prime Minister’s instructions, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) facilitated the transportation of the aid convoy.
According to the spokesperson, the aid sent by the government includes dry ration packs, prepared foods, and medicines. After this 18th shipment, Pakistan’s total aid to Gaza has reached approximately 1,815 tons.A ceremony to send the aid was held in Islamabad, attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NDMA representatives, and the Palestinian Ambassador.
The Foreign Office spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s continuous solidarity with the people of Gaza and reiterated Pakistan’s stance in support of an independent Palestinian state. He emphasized that, in accordance with United Nations resolutions, the capital of a Palestinian state should be Jerusalem (Al-Quds Al-Sharif).
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, while speaking at the aid dispatch ceremony, mentioned that 100 tons of relief supplies are being sent to Gaza. The aid convoy will land in Jordan, from where it will be transported to Gaza.The Federal Minister also strongly condemned Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians and highlighted that the Al-Khidmat Foundation has provided assistance to the people of Gaza. She expressed Pakistan’s continued support and solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters and assured that aid efforts will continue.
