WEB DESK: South African pacer Kwena Maphaka has been ruled out of the white-ball series against Pakistan due to a hamstring injury, as confirmed by Cricket South Africa. Lizaad Williams has been named as his replacement in the ODI squad for the series.
Meanwhile, the management of the Pakistani team has announced that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will not be returning for the T20 series against South Africa. Additionally, the national team’s coaching lineup for the Test series against South Africa has been finalized. Azhar Mahmood will serve as the head coach, with Naveed Akram as the team manager, Imran Farhat as the batting coach, Abdul Rehman as the spin bowling coach, and Abdul Majeed as the fielding coach.
Details surrounding the Pakistan-South Africa series have also been revealed. Commentary duties will feature prominent names such as former South African captain Shaun Pollock, former Pakistan captain Aamir Sohail, Rameez Raja, Waqar Younis, and Test cricketer Bazid Khan.
