England Thrash Pakistan By Seven Wickets In Only T20

CARDIFF: England thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets in the only Twenty20 international played at Cardiff here on Sunday.

Batting first Pakistan has set 174-run target for England to win the only T20 international.

England lost there the first wicket at the score of 21 when Ben Duckett was caught by Imad Wasim off Shaheen Shah Afridi. He scored runs by facing 7 deliveries.

Joe Root and Eoin Margin took England home with a successful chase of 174 runs. Morgan scored 57 off 29 with five boundaries and three sixes while Root played 47 off 42.

Hasan Ali, Imad Waseem and Shaheen Afridi picked one wicket each.

First Innings: 

Earlier, Half-centuries from middle order batsmen Babar Azam and Haris Sohail helped Pakistan to set 174-run target for England.

Babar scored 65 off 42 balls with five boundaries and three sixes while Haris Sohail played a knocking inning of 50 runs off 36 with five boundaries and one six.

Imad Wasim played a cameo at the end of the innings by hitting two fours on last two balls of the match. Imad remained unbeatable by scoring 18 runs off 13 balls.

JC Archer was the pick of the bowler from the England side as he picked two wickets.
