WEB DESK: After Pakistan’s loss to India in the ICC T20 World Cup group stage, significant changes are anticipated in the national T20 squad, with key players possibly being dropped.
Team management is reportedly losing faith in senior players, raising concerns over their recent performances. Criticism has also been directed at Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan for their questionable form.
Sources suggest Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi might be rested, with management planning to test the bench strength against Namibia. Fakhar Zaman and Khawaja Nafay are being considered to replace Babar, while Salman Mirza and Naseem Shah may step in for Shaheen.
Pakistan is expected to make two or three changes for the clash with Namibia, a must-win game to secure a spot in the Super 8. So far, Babar has scored 66 runs in three matches, while Shaheen has managed only three wickets in the tournament.
