Pakistan-Sri Lanka second T20I cancelled due to rain

DAMBULLA: The second match of the three-game T20 International series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been called off because of heavy rainfall at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

Persistent rain caused a delay in the toss, and subsequent downpour resulted in the match being abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The third T20I is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 11, at the same venue. This series serves as a warm-up ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, set to kick off on February 7 in Sri Lanka and India.

Historically, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other 27 times in limited-overs cricket, with Pakistan winning 17 of those encounters.
