Pakistan Stock Exchange experiences decline on second day of trading week

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened the week on a subdued note, with the market experiencing a decline on the second day of business.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) began the week with a negative trend on the second trading day, reflecting cautious investor sentiment. The benchmark KSE-100 index declined by 141 points, closing at 119,548 points.

This downturn follows a positive close the previous day, where the index gained 40 points and closed at 119,689.

On the other hand, the US dollar has slightly decreased in the interbank market against the rupee. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar has decreased by 7 paisa to reach 281 rupees and 70 paisa.

It is worth noting that yesterday, the dollar also became cheaper at the start of trading; however, by the end of the business day, the price had increased again.
