Pakistan take 77 lead in first innings after brilliant ton by Saud Shakeel against England

Rawalpindi: Pakistan have taken a lead of 77 runs in first innings with the help of Saud Shakeel ton and all rounder performance of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan as the host bowled at 344.

Saud Shakeel with his extraordinary performance at the team deteriorating situation scored 134 runs while two partnership with Noman Ali and Sajid Khan helped Pakistan chased England target giving 77 runs to the guest team.

Saud Shakeel-Noman Ali made 88 runs partnership while Saud Shakeel-Sajid Khan scored 77 runs.

Sajid Khan made brilliant 48 runs while Noman Ali scored valuable 45 runs.

On the other hand England spinner Rehan Ahmed got 4 wickets, Shoaib Basheer 3 wickets, Gas Atkinson took two wickets while Jack Leach got one wicket.

Earlier, Saud Shakeel ton have helped Pakistan to level England first innings score of 267 as Pakistan lost eight wickets chasing the target.

As Pakistan resumed its innings today at 77 for three, the host batting line up failed to score big as players lost their wickets one by one.

Skipper Shan Masood, Kamran Ghulam, Salman Ali Agha, Muhammad Rizwan, Aamir Jamal bowled out in quick succession.

Only Saud Shakeel stand firm against England spin attack adding score in total steadily and constantly while Noman Ali and Saud Shakeel 88 runs partnership also gave strength to Pakistan.
