Pakistan to Begin ICC Test Championship Against Australia

LAHORE: Pakistan will host Sri Lanka in three one-day internationals and the same number of Twenty20 internationals starting in September.

Though it has meant that the two Tests scheduled between the sides for October – and which the PCB wanted to be played in Pakistan – have been postponed to December.

Due to this shuffling in schedule, Pakistan’s run in the long-awaited ICC World Test Championship will kick off in December when the green team will travel to Australia for further two Tests in November before hosting Sri Lanka in the UAE December.

Pakistan will host Bangladesh in the UAE next January. They would then visit England for three Tests in July-August in 2020.

Pakistan will go to New Zealand in December 2020 for two Tests before completing the cycle with a two-Test rubber at home in January 2021.
