LAHORE: Chairman Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Lt. General Muzammil Hussain called on Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
During the meeting, Chairman Wapda and the Chief Minister discussed the progress on ongoing electricity projects. On the occasion, Chief Minister said that work on energy project was underway at fast pace across the country including Punjab.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will get rid of the darkness of load shedding in 2017. He said that the ongoing project will not only end power crisis but also provide cheap electricity to masses.
He said that the government effort for ending power crisis were yielding results. He said that the government was striving hard to install power project, which will generate thousands of megawatts power after completion.
Chairman Wapda briefed the CM about hydro power projects in the country.
