Islamabad (May 18, 2017): Minister of State for Information Maryam Aurangzeb has said Pakistan will vigorously fight Jadhav case in ICJ. She advised Media to report on the interim order of International Court of Justice in responsible manner.
She was speaking at the anniversary of a private TV channel in Islamabad on Thursday.
“Pakistan will vigorously fight this case without compromising on its national security,” she said adding that sensationalizing this issue by media will not serve the national cause.
The Minister of State said Pakistan hired the best legal counsels in this case and any speculations in this regard are baseless.
Later in an interview, she said political parties and analysts are free to criticise the government, but they should refrain from doing politics on ICJ’s interim order in Kulbhushan Jhadav’s case as it is a matter of national security.
She said Pakistan has presented dossiers to the United Nations regarding Kulbhushan Jhadav’s involvement in terrorist and subversive activities in Pakistan.
To a question, the minister of state said that the Indian spy has been provided every opportunity and remedy available under the law and the Constitution of Pakistan.
