Pakistan tremendous start in Asia Cup as it defeat Nepal by whopping 238 runs

Multan: Pakistan have won the first match of Asia Cup against Nepal by whopping 238 runs.

Nepal team bowled out at score of 104 runs in 23. 4 overs by chasing huge score of 342 runs set by Pakistan. Shadab Khan has taken four wickets.

Pakistan scored 342 off 6 wickets which included superb centuries of skipper Baber Azam 151 and 109 runs of Iftakhar Ahmed.

Earlier, Pakistan playing first didn’t take good start as four of its key players sent to pavilion on a score of 124. Then skipper Baber Azam and Ifthar Ahmed outclass partnership performance made a day for Pakistani team.

Baber Azam made first ton of the Asia cup while Ifthar Khan ahmed also scored a ton. The skipper bowled at 151 by playing 131 balls which included four sixes and and 14 fours with a strike rate of 115. 2.

Iftakhar Ahmed remanined not out at the score of 109 (71b 11×4 4×6). Shadab Khan could only made four runs.

Before this opener Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haq, Muhammad Rizwan and Aghan Salman scored 14, 5, 44 and 5 runs respectively.

From Nepal side Sompal Kami too two wickets while Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane got one wicket each.

Nepal fielding remained very poor through out the match as they failed to pick the ball many times going straight to boundaries.

Huge crowd of Multan poured into ground to watch first match of 11th Asia Cup as their team was playing against Nepal.
