Pakistani flag hoisted after afghan troops abandon border posts

ISLAMABAD:  In a strong retaliatory move, the Pakistan Army has taken control of multiple Afghan border posts allegedly used to aid militants crossing into Pakistani territory. According to official security sources, the action followed unprovoked aggression from Afghan forces stationed near the border.

One of the most significant developments was the hoisting of the Pakistani national flag at the Angoor Adda post after Afghan personnel reportedly fled, leaving the area under Pakistan Army control. Videos circulating from the scene show several Afghan Taliban members surrendering to Pakistani troops, while others reportedly retreated.

A total of 19 Afghan posts were captured during the operation. These positions, according to intelligence, were being used to support the infiltration of militants aiming to destabilize Pakistan through acts of terrorism.

Security sources emphasized that the operation is targeted not at the Afghan people but at elements involved in cross-border terrorism, particularly those allegedly backed by hostile foreign interests.

“This is not a war against Afghanistan or its citizens,” a senior security official clarified. “Our response is directed at the groups and individuals, including pro-Indian elements and militant factions like Fitna al-Khawarij, who are using Afghan territory to launch attacks on Pakistan.”

The sources further claimed that the Afghan caretaker government and certain Taliban-aligned groups have been involved in recent provocations, purportedly under foreign influence. Despite the heightened tensions, Pakistan maintains that its objective is to secure its borders and safeguard its citizens, not to escalate conflict with the Afghan population.

Pakistan has captured 19 Afghan posts used to facilitate terrorists to infiltrate Pakistan to carry out subversive activities, security sources revealed.

According to security sources, Pakistan Armed forces are targeting Afghan posts and hideouts of terrorists. The counteraction is not for the people of Afghanistan, but pro-Indian miscreants who are involved in conducting terrorist activities in Pakistan against innocent people.

Sources said that Pakistan’s retaliation to unprovoked Afghan aggression should not be deemed as a war against the people of Afghanistan.

“Afghan aggression was imposed by Afghan caretaker government, Taliban and militants of Fitna al Khawarji.

“The Afghan forces took money from India to show aggression against Pakistan. Pakistan Army does not want to target the people of Afghanistan and their sites,” the sources said
