Islamabad: Pakistani mountaineer and athlete Mona Khan has been released from a prison on the intervention of Pakistani mission in Greece, the foreign office spokesperson said.
The FO spokesperson said that Pakistani embassy officials met Mona Khan in jail today. Pakistan has demanded counselor access to Mona Khan from the government of Greece.
The Foreign office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch apprised the Pakistani athlete was released with the efforts of Pakistani mission in Greece.
She apprised further that after her release Mona Khan has left for Athens for meeting his son.
She has been arrested over hoisting Pakistani flag on the mount Olympus, the spokesperson added.
