Pakistani passport ranking improves , now ranked 98th worldwide

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s passport has seen notable progress, climbing to the 98th position in the Henley Passport Index 2026, marking an improvement from the previous year.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his satisfaction with this advancement and assured that the upward trajectory would persist.

Through a post on X, Naqvi highlighted the achievement, emphasizing that the passport’s rise from 126th to 98th place is a significant milestone, and pledged to maintain this momentum moving forward.

According to the index, Pakistani passport holders now have access to visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization (eTA) in 31 destinations spanning Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Oceania.

Visa-Free Destinations
Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, Micronesia, Montserrat, Rwanda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu.

Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) Destinations
Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Comoro Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, Maldives, Mozambique, Nepal, Niue, Palau Islands, Qatar, Samoa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Timor-Leste, Tuvalu.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) Destinations
Kenya, Seychelles, Sri Lanka.
