Pakistani Students’ Outstanding Performance in STEMCO Science Competitions

SINGAPORE: Pakistani student Anara Bahram Durrani showcased remarkable performance in the STEMCO Science Global Competitions held in Singapore, winning a gold medal and putting Pakistan on the global map. A total of only 15 Pakistani students made it to the finals, where they competed against 177 participants from 13 countries.

Previously, 26,000 students from across Pakistan participated in the competition, and only fifteen Pakistani students secured spots for the international competition. In the first round, Anara Bahram Durrani won a gold medal.

In the STEMCO Science Global Competitions held in Singapore, Anara Bahram Durrani again clinched the gold medal, bringing honor to Pakistan. The event took place from February 12 to 17, 2025, at the National University of Singapore. Young scientists from around the world demonstrated their skills in the competition.

This event is a key platform aimed at encouraging young minds to excel in science and innovation. These students had also demonstrated exceptional performance in the International Kangaroo Science Competition in Pakistan.

The increasing representation of girls in science is extremely important, and Anara stands as a bright example on this path.
