ISLAMABAD:  The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday submitted reply in Supreme Court in Panama Papers case.

The FBR in its reply rejected the allegations leveled by PTI chief Imran Khan. It said that the Board had powers to take action on financial matters under Income Tax Ordinance 2001.

The Board said that it had registered some 336 cases in matters of different nature. During the investigation, it emerged that the records of those involved was not correct due to which notices were reissued to 176 persons.

It said that in different cases some 133 people replied  the notices while action will be taken against those who did not reply the notices.
