ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday blamed each other for adjournment of hearing of references filed against Prime Minister and others for their alleged involvement in Panama leaks’ scandal.
On Monday, ECP while clubbing together all Panamagate references adjourned hearing till Nov 2.
After the hearing , PML-N leader Danyal Aziz and PTI leader Nameeul Haq blamed each others’ counsel for pleading the ECP to adjourn the hearing and give more time.
Aziz said that Prime Minister counsel was ready to advance argument on the reference but PTI counsel sought times and pleaded the ECP bench to adjourned the hearing.
He said that Prime Minister’s name was not in the Panama leaks, but despite that allegations were being levelled against the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, PTI’s Naeemul Haq said that Prime Minister counsel sought 15 days time and pleaded for adjournment, which is deplorable.
He said that Prime Minister’s stubbornness was the main hurdle in investigation into Panama leaks.
He said that the PTI had pleaded the ECP to decide the references on urgent basis.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur while talking to media after the hearing said that the courts were delaying the cases, adding that it seems Nawaz Sharif will complete his five year’s tenure.
