Islamabad: This year budget 2024-2025 preparations are underway while on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) conditions extra ordinary changes have brought in the federal development program.
The member of parliaments discretionary funds are ended while suggestions have been given to decrease development budget of health and education sectors.
In the current year budget the member of parliaments were given schemes of worth Rs 61 billions.
Sources said that funding to the provincial projects also has been decided to shut.
Sources furthered that the health sector budget has reduced from Rs 26 billion to Rs 17 billion.
The development budget of education sector has also slashed from Rs 83 billion to Rs 32 billion.
On the other hand it is suggested to allocate Rs 1221 billion under the PSDP. While Rs 873 billion for the infrastructure, Rs 378 billion for energy.
Besides that Rs 173 billion to be allocated for transport and communications. Rs 17 billion for health, Rs 32 billion for education.
It is likely that Rs 104 billion will be allocated for the science and technology. According to the budget documents the GDP growth for next year budget estimated at 3.6 percent.
