Islamabad: A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security takes place in Islamabad today (Thursday).
The meeting will discuss the matters pertaining to the security of the country and situation in Afghanistan.Speaker National Assembly will preside the meeting which will start at 3.30 pm.
Foriegn Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Interior Minister Shaikh Rasheed and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak will represent the government in the meeting. Besides that Chairman senate, ministers, members of parliament and senate have also been invited specially.
The important leaders of the opposition parties, have been invited to attend the meeting.They all will be taken into confidence on recent developments in Afghanistan and the national security.It is likely that miliary top brass will also attend the huddle.
